All Benefits Counseling Resources

Disability Benefit Specialists (DBS) work with individuals between the ages of 18 and 59 and have physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and/or mental illness and counsels them about public or private benefits. DBS staff are trained by attorneys from Disability Rights of Wisconsin.

Elder Benefit Specialists (EBS) provide information, assistance, and advocacy to Wisconsin residents age 60 or older on a broad range of benefit programs. They provide support in areas such as program eligibility criteria, applying for benefits, appealing benefit denials or incorrect benefit amounts, consumer debt, landlord/tenant law, and private insurance. EBS staff receive on-going training, support and supervision from attorneys at the Greater Wisconsin Area on Aging Resources.
