Boost Your Brain and Memory Class is a unique program that takes a holistic approach to improving brain health in older adults. Participants will learn new habits to maintain brain health while practicing new skills for better memory performance. The seven-session class is a no-cost training and is offered at various times throughout the year.

This presentation provides education for all community members. At this free presentation, you’ll learn about dementia, a general term used to describe a decline in brain function. This training is offered at various times throughout the year.

Dementia Live- is a high impact, dementia simulation experience immersing participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change. This no-cost training is available for family caregivers and offered at various time throughout the year.

A complimentary program to help family caregivers manage behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia. Available through group workshops and one-on-one training.

Serving caregivers and relatives as parents seeking education, assistance and support. The caregiver specialist is available virtually, by phone, and e-mail to answer questions, provide information about resources and refer to community partners as needed.

Fitness to Drive (FTD) is a web-based tool for caregivers and/or family members of older drives to identify at-risk older drivers.

Confidential, free 10-minute basic screening that can help identify possible changes in memory. Available in our office or your home.

Provides personalized music with community support to Rusk County residents living at home who have memory concerns.

Improve safety by identifying potential problems in the home.

Helps family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a parent, spouse or friend – at home, in a facility, or from a distance. Meets two hours a week for six weeks. This no-cost training is available for family caregivers and offered at various times throughout the year.

Note:  This Prevea Clinic will close on or before April 21, 2024, and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Sacred Heart will close around the end of the first quarter of 2024.

Geriatric assessments by appointment, walk-in evening clinic. A variety of other services are also available.

Tracking system through Sheriff’s Department to safeguard and locate individuals who may wander.

Savvy Caregiver is a six-week workshop to help you become a more confident family caregiver. Caregivers will participate in the training and learn the information and skills you need to care for a loved one living with dementia. This no-cost training is offered at various times throughout the year.

Silver Alert is a plan to help local law enforcement in the rescue of missing persons who have Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Silver Alerts are broadcast to the public on roadways, email and text messages.
